~Description~
The first thing one would notice about dear Axel is his size. Being his mix of dire and eurasian wolf genes, which are both very large in stature breeds, he is pretty big. He stands at 3 feet tall and is 6 1/2 feet long. Weighing around 190 pounds, with most of that weight being muscle, he is a very intimidating sight indeed. Those thinking it just a show better readjust their view of the world, because Axel has a big bite. His limbs are long and muscular, making him an excellent and fast runner despite his large size, his bullet shaped body helping in this matter. Axel has very fine fur, that changes along with the seasons. In the fall and winter seasons, his fur is medium length and very thick, having two layers to keep out the biting cold. In the spring and summer seasons, when the weather warms, his fur becomes short and thin. No matter what season though, his fur remains a rich rusty red in color, with black running through it over his back with little hints of white through the back fur and white being the main color on his underside region. Many, many scars can be found on the large brutes body, unseeable beneath his pelt. Axel's most capturing feature is his dark, intense gold eyes that can seem to entrap someone in there depths.

~Personality~
Axel's personality is a complex thing, hard to put to words, better to be found out and experienced then to read. Axel himself, you could say, is very complex. Not a single word can be used to describe him accurately, not even a million can get you close. Though, suppose one could try. Axel's personality is a contrast to his big size. He is rather quiet and reserved, preferring to save his breath for talking about important matters then chatting or making small talk. This little trait has made him into the loner type of canine, as he doesn't talk much to others. Despite the fact that he prefers to keep silent he isn't shy, just a quiet observer that prefers to stay to the shadows. Axel has a natural confidence that comes with him, along with fluent and ready speech despite his preference of silence. Conflicting? Yes, yet that is just what he has been made to be. When someone can get him to speak long enough, they might wish they hadn't. He usually adds a few dark sarcastic remarks here and there in his words when he speaks, and can be downright cold, speaking in a monotone. He is aggravated easily by wolves with a cocky attitude or wolves with a general annoying personality, and is not afraid to lash out with cutting words dripped in acid and and a smile made for war, even though he himself can be cocky and a bit of an ass at times. His eyes are dark mysterious things, holding the pain and rage from past wrongs that he cannot express or let escape.

~History~
First weeks of life- Axel was born in a litter of one on a warm, pleasant spring day to the lone pair Rage and Thorn, Thorn being his shy mother and Rage being his abusive father. His father was the dire wolf, ruthless and sly in all he did, and his mother was the sweet and delicate Eurasian wolf who unluckily managed to become mates with Axel's father. Axel experienced his father's aggression only a few days after opening his golden eyes which, at the time, where filled with the innocence of one who had yet to face the harshness of the world. His father had come home after an unsuccessful hunt and started arguing with his mother, while he watched and cowered in the corner, until his father noticed him watching. The sight of the horrendously sadistic grin spreading across his father's face at seeing him still haunts his dreams, and the action after that still gave him nightmares. His father had picked him up and shook him around like a bored young wolf playing with his prey, and threw him against the den wall while his mother tried to stop his father. How he survived? He has no idea, it felt like he was dead when the whole thing was over, bruised and battered, but he was sure of one thing. That was when his hatred for his father began.

Four months old- By this time Axel has had enough beatings and has enough scars to last him a life time, and though he had grown quickly it wasn't enough to fend off his fathers attacks. His mother has started teaching him basic hunting and healing skills, though he would just prefer to explore the surrounding mountain Forrest that they had made their home in. Around the time he is nearing his 5th month of life, his father begins teaching him in his own messed up, sadistic way how to fight, and his father was by no means a gentle teacher, which deepens Axel's hate for his father.

Eight months old- By now, Axel has been beaten near death so many times that he is stuck inbetween life and death, though he had perfected his fighting skills enough to have lessened them by his father. He has been forced to fight other wolves caught on the territory for his father's sick amusement. The young brute has already lost count of how many poor soul's lives he had taken by the time he neared his eighth year, and he felt that he was slowly losing feeling except for his burning hatred.

One year and five month old- Axel, since hitting eight months of life, had continued to fight and learn, and now every time he killed another wolf he felt no longer sick to his stomach, just a detached numbness. He had grown, nearing the size of his father by now, and has grown bolder. It was summer when it happened, when he had finally snapped. His father had attacked his mother, and Axel had flew into a blind rage, attacking his father with all the burning hatred he had kept bottled up ever since the first day he started beating him. His father seemed shocked, as he was pinned, never having been beaten by another. He should have realized his worst mistake was training Axel to fight as well as him, teaching him all the tricks he knew. He ripped out his fathers throat, standing over him a few moments before stumbling back and rushing to his mother's side only to find a horrific sight awaiting him; his mother dead, windpipe pierced by Rage when he had attacked her. He sung a tale of sorrow that night with only the moon to hear. His mother had been his only true companion, for his father made him kill all creatures who neared the territory. He buried her and left the territory, leaving his father's body to rot.

Two years old- Axel has just wandered for the past few months, living a lonely existence with little to no interaction with another creature till he met Death at about one year and eight months old. Death was a baby crow Axel found laying injured on the forest floor, so injured that it seemed impossible to be alive, like him the first time he got beat by his father. He took in the bird and nursed it to health, actually staying in the place near where he found it, waiting for it to recover. He ended up waiting far past it's recovery, till it had grown feathers and learned to fly. He named it Death, and it has been his traveling companion ever since.
